CONTESTS FOR 2023 :: September 1st, 2023 - October 1st, 2023
The 50 & Up Writer Awards (Minor Contest)
Our Minor Contest will focus on only accepting works from writers 50 years and up. There will be a winner in P, F, and CNF that receive $50.00 USD, and for any and each year of age past that mark, one additional dollar will be added to a writer's prize. The guest finalist judge is LeeAnne Beckham Carlson.
All work entered into the minor contest must be original, unpublished work. This means never posted to social media as well or the internet.
Poems may be single spaced and set as the writer wishes it to be presented in print, 12 point font, type Times New Roman. You may submit up to three poems.
Prose entries are best to be double spaced, 12 point font, type set as Times New Roman. You may only submit one piece of Fiction or Creative Nonfiction.
Please title document name with last name and title or titles to follow.
Simultaneous submissions are allowed.

Our Major Contest will focus only on accepting works from LGBTQIA2S+ writers. There will be a category open to prose and one open to poetry. Each winner will receive $250.00 USD. The finalist guest judge is Oliver Antoni Krawczyk.
All work entered into the major contest must be original, unpublished work. This means never posted to social media as well or the internet.
Poems may be single spaced and set as the writer wishes it to be presented in print, 12 point font, type Times New Roman. You may submit up to three poems.
Prose entries are best to be double spaced, 12 point font, type set as Times New Roman. You may submit one piece of CNF or F.
