General Submission Guidelines
All works must be original and unpublished. We do not accept AI generated or assisted works of writing or art. We publish with First North American Serial Rights.
Submissions open October 1st 2025 and close January 1st, 2026 at noon your time.
Each genre of submission has a requested donation of $3.00 USD which can be sent via Venmo/ PayPal/ or Zelle. We can also waive the fee if you're struggling financially. Please let us know in your submission email. 
Include a brief third person bio in the Cover Letter/ body of your email.
Written works must be in .doc format. Visual art must be JPEG or PNG. If you forget to include your attachments or assign the wrong type, your submission may go disqualified and your email deleted.
In every issue, we hope to publish 25-30 poems, 4 works of fiction, and 4 works of Creative Nonfiction. We seek 5 works of visual art as well. We are open to small graphic novels as well. Just send us a query. We do nominate writers for Pushcart Prizes starting 2025.
Our issue comes out in print. Six months later, the issue is archived and available online. Each contributor receives one free copy of the issue. If you’ve submitted a translation and the original author is still living, you may request an additional free copy for them.

POETRY
You may submit up to five poems and place all work in a single document, formatted as you wish, including your name.
Poems may be 1-2 pages in length. If a poem exceeds 2 pages and is longform, still send it as we will still consider longer works.

FICTION
You may submit one piece of nano fiction, flash fiction, or a short story. Make sure it is double spaced, 12-point font, and in Times New Roman. Make sure it has the title and your name on it. No need for additional information.
We designate nano fiction to be 250 words or less. We designate flash fiction to be 500-1,000 words, or slightly under 500 words. We designate short stories as having the length of 1,000-3,000 words. If it exceeds 3,000 words, we will still review it for consideration.

CREATIVE NONFICTION
CNF works may be in any range from 250 – 3,000 words and longer works will still be reviewed for consideration.
Please make sure you only submit one piece of work.

TRANSLATIONS IN POETRY OR PROSE

If your translations are not in the public domain, you must have proper permission documented for your translations from an agency or writer with contact information.
For poetry, you may send up to five pieces. Please include original poems with your translation submissions. Poems may be 1-2 pages in length. If a poem exceeds 2 pages and is longform, still send it as we will still consider longer works. If you have not received a response in around three months, please do send a query on the status of your work.
For prose, works of fiction and creative nonfiction may be 500-3,000 words. If the work exceeds that, we will still review it for possible inclusion. Only submit one piece of work per submission period, and its original work that accompanies it.
